Serve yourself from the Cold Table-
Fruit juices, cereals, muesli, yogurt, peaches,
grapefruit, prunes, apricots, fresh fruit salad,
smoked salmon with lemon wedges,
selection of cheeses.
Porridge with fresh cream.
Followed by freshly cooked
hot platter served to your table-
Grilled bacon, sausages, tomato and eggs - cooked as you like -
scrambled, fried or poached-one or two!
Grilled Scottish kippers.
And to accompany-
Indian, Earl Grey or herbal tea, freshly brewed coffee, hot chocolate,
along with toasted white and wholemeal bread,
Scottish oatcakes, honey,
home-made jams and marmalade
In a Scots B&B, a full Scottish breakfast is one of the pleasures of your stay. A good breakfast will set you up for a full day of sightseeing round Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside. There is an old proverb which says, that to enjoy good health you should breakfast like a Lord, lunch like a King and dine like a pauper, and a full Scottish breakfast in our B&B will certainly help you start the day like a Lord. If you prefer something lighter, there is an extensive cold table for you to choose from. Or why not breakfast on Scottish Kippers, a very traditional Scots start to the day.
